Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Salty Panda AI assistant service ("Service") operated by Salty Panda ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Account Registration

To use Salty Panda, you must create an account using Google or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities that occur under it. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

2. Service Description

Salty Panda is an AI-powered personal assistant that can help you manage your calendar, email, tasks, reminders, and other daily activities. The Service uses third-party AI models to process your requests and generate responses.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

• New accounts start with a 14-day free trial of the Pro plan. A valid payment method is required to begin the trial.
• After the trial, your account will automatically convert to the Pro plan unless you change or cancel your subscription.
• Subscription fees are billed monthly through Stripe. You can change your plan or cancel at any time through the billing settings.
• Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk SMS
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or probe the AI models
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the Service
• Use the Service for any purpose that is harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive
• Exceed reasonable usage limits that degrade the experience for other users

5. Connected Services

When you connect third-party services (Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Tasks), you authorize Salty Panda to access those services on your behalf. You can revoke access at any time through your account settings or through the third-party service directly. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.

6. AI-Generated Content

Responses from the AI assistant are generated by third-party AI models and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate. You should verify important information independently. We are not responsible for actions you take based on AI-generated content.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Salty Panda. Content you create through the Service (messages, memories, etc.) remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from Service downtime.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salty Panda shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
